The closest beach to the villa is Koukistres beach, the beach is totally unorganized with pebbles and deep waters.

It is very quiet almost private as it is far from the crowds and not many people knows about it. However if you plan to visit, you should have all essentials with you!

More beautiful beaches close to Villa Le Reve that we suggest you visit are:

- Panormo (4.9 km) : In Panormo there are actually two main beaches and a few smaller ones.

The harbor (Limanaki) beach serves as the port of the area. It is sandy and the sea has clear water. It is ideal for families with small children, as it is shallow and it's cement pier protects it from waves. It is well organized with umbrellas, showers, water sports, etc. The second main beach named Limni is located just 200m west of the village. Similarly to Limanaki beach, it’s sandy, well protected by a rocky pier (there are actually two separate beaches). Even further to the east, there is a small cove with a pebbly beach with north direction, ideal for seclusion and snorkeling when sea is flat.

- Bali (9.9 km): Nestling in the surrounding mountains of the bay of Bali you will find the coastal village of the same name 34 km east of Rethymno. Visitors may choose from which of the small inlets to enjoy bathing at organised sandy beaches. The area offers a large number of tavernas and shops.

- Geropotamos (8.9 km): The beach is named after the homonym river that empties in the east end of the beach. The small beach is sandy and has crystal clear water, which is very cool because of the river, which has water all year round and forms a small deep lake near the shore. It is slightly organized with umbrellas and a canteen that offers refreshments, coffee, water and food supplies. Despite the easy access, it is always quiet and not crowded. However, the orientation of the shore makes it vulnerable to north winds.

- Rethymno (23 km): Is located 500m east of the city centre and it is a beach with golden sand and crystal clear shallow water, very well organized and close to all amenities of the city. It offers numerous beach bars, restaurants and cafes that offer umbrellas with sun beds, showers and changing rooms.  Additionally on Rethymno’s beach you may find water sports facilities. Furthermore, there is a boardwalk which is ideal for afternoon walks by the sea, or simply shopping or dining.

Furthermore, On the South coast of the island you can also discover some of Crete’s most amazing natural beaches such as “Schinaria”, “Damnoni”, “Triopetra”, “Agios Pavlos” and "Preveli". The distance to the South coast is about 60 minutes by car and all the above beaches are located near to Plakias village where you can find shops and many taverns.
